Week of October 25th-Wrapping Up the Revolution and Beginning Our Look At Government
We will begin our look at the foundations of our government this week (pages 174 - 175 and 499 - 509 in the text) with an examination of the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation.

Class Activities Planned For The Week:
Monday: Pretest; read pages 174 - 175 and answer questions on page 175. Finish the questions for homework.
Tuesday: We will watch a video about the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation. Students will complete questions related to the video. Complete the October Calendar for homework.
Wednesday: Students will read pages 499 - 509 and complete questions to outline essential information Download The United States Constitution Questions goes with Arts.
Thursday: Students in 2nd, 3rd and 4th hour classes will begin work on a flip book to review the three branches of government; students in 1st hour (AC) will read portions of the Constitution and complete a matrix of facts about the Constitution.
Friday: 2nd, 3rd and 4th hour classes will complete the flip book; 1st hour students will complete a chart of checks and balances and create a visual metaphor for checks and balances or separation of powers.
