6th Grade: Homework: Complete the collage of landforms in Latin America.  Write each location's name and color it in.  Try to use as many different colors as you can.

Contributions of Africans (6th); Asia: Time Travel Products (7th)

Sixth Grade: As we discussed in class today, your homework is to answer the essential question: How did African slavery influence and impact the development of the Americas ?  Focus mainly on the contribution of African slaves on the Latin American region.  If you are still undecided about what product to use in answering the essential question, click on the link for possible choices.

Use the Internet to gather informatioin to answer the question.  However, for specific pages in your textbook, go to Pages 89, 203-205, and 208 - 211, 242, and 245.

Seventh Grade: Work on your Asia time travel product(s) tonight.  Two of the four are due on Friday.  Use your time wisely because you will have a different homework assignment tomorrow night.  Class time has been given since last week and this week for the completion of these Asia time travel activities.  Therefore, there will be no more extension granted.  Avoid waiting for work to pile up on you tomorrow night.

Go to the CIA website (www.cia.gov) and locate information to use in completing the Human Development Index chart on the six countries you chose today in class.  The teacher will give you the statistics on the United States.  Compare these statistics (unemplyment rate, real growth rate, population, per capita income, literacy rate, top exports (3), and top imports (3) from the United States and the six countries you chose in order to answer the economic question.  What factors are the yardstick in trying to determine which countries are developed, developing, and underdeveloped?

Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into an environment that cause instability, disorder, harm, or discomfort to the ecosystem, that is physical systems or living organisms.
